A follow up to the Aylesbury/Baghdad/Kabul reference from The Mirror.

I found this article on Indymedia.org.uk, it seems Aylesbury isn't so different from these places after all, see the quote below.

Aylesbury Vale Friends of the Earth are planning to topple a Bush statue in Aylesbury Market Square to protest against the dumping of Kyoto. If you fancy a new protest venue and would like to raise the profile of environmental issues in Buckinghamshire your support would be welcome. Will hopefully be a gentle warm up to a week of protest. Hope this doesn't clash with any other events."

I love the anarchic 'bring down the system!' albeit 'as long as it doesn't interfere too much' and "hope this doesn't clash with any other events", typical Friends of the Earth. Did they go ahead with it in the end? I heard nothing, saw nothing, perhaps it was a cover up?
